Ms.Angela M. Salas is the Founding President of CCN of NY's Board of Directors (retired).
Ms. Salas graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Arts from Queens College in 2006. She completed her Registered Dietitian internship in
Cornell Cooperative Extension and was certified as an RD by the Commission of Dietetic Registration in 2008. She received her M.S. in Nutritional Sciences from Queens College in 2010.
Ms. Salas worked for Mary Inmaculate Hospital and Jamaica Hospital as a Registered Dietitian and with Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Center as a Nutritional Consultant for the Long Term Care Outpatient Home-Care Program.
Ms. Salas also completed the coursework and training hours to become an Internationally Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and received official certification by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners in 2009. She works part-time as an Adjunct Professor for Queens College as a subject matter expert in Infant/child nutrition.
Ms. Salas completed a second Masters degree in Early Childhood Studies. She is certified as a CDA (Child Development Associate) Advisor and CDA PD Specialist with bilingual extension by the Council of Professional Recognition. Ms Salas is also an NYS Early Learn Credentialed Trainer certified under ASPIRE (Level 3) and is a NAFCC National Accreditation Trainer and Observer.
